Greetings Families:

This week we revisited our book buddies. Our class really enjoys spending time with the preschool. It is delightful to watch how much ownership they have taken in this project. Lou has created a book buddy bin where students have been selecting books during the weeks that we're not visiting our buddies to read to them when we meet. The class takes this responsibility very seriously!

We have continued our research on selected animals. The students have been fascinated with their animals. We will begin building projects that reflect their research next week.
On Monday we will begin working with Garden Coordinator at the Rooftop Garden, who will be teaching the class about plants, growing cycles, harvesting and more!

A few reminders….
Our class potluck is scheduled for October 19th. Please feel free to drop by and get together with other families in the class.

Our field trip to the Pumpkin Patch is quickly approaching. Please let me know if you are able to drive and chaperone students. There is also a sign up sheet outside the door of our classroom.

We can always use pencils! I am still looking for a working cd player. If you have one laying around drop if off in the morning.

I would also like to invite you to stay for our Morning Meeting. This is a community building activity that happens daily from 8:45ish-9:10ish. It would be nice to have the students teach you how we greet one another and discuss the happenings of the day.

As a precaution please check your children’s hair for lice.

I am available to meet as needed and consistently on Mondays from 3:30-4:30.

Thank you!

Fawn
