What a great week in 2/3rd grade! Our class took another walk to the Library, started reading with our buddies in preschool, continued our work in Math groups and learned about how readers use their schema during Readers Workshop. Students have selected animals that they will be researching about next week. I have shared a few pictures that I have collected over the past weeks. Please let me know if you do not want your child's picture posted to the blog and I will remove their image and no longer post pictures that they are in.

Thank you to Elizabeth and her Dad who brought in a chicken to share with the class!

James and Kate Rohl have graciously agreed to host a class pot luck at their home on Sunday October 19 from 1-3 pm. If you would like to bring a dish and your last name begins with an A-H please bring salads and sides, if your last name begins with an I-R please bring a soup or main dish, if your last name begins with S-Z please bring desserts and drinks. Please email me with questions.
As the weather turns cooler and begins to rain please remember to send your children with rain coats and boots or shoes that would be good for walks. We will continue our Wednesday walks to the Library through out the winter.
Have a great weekend.
